I think you did get muddy. Believe it or not I used to do the same thing when I was a kid, except I got muddy by riding a four wheeler. The weird thing is now I can't stand for dirt to get on my hands. LOL Some of my favorite time as a kid was going mud riding.

i wear gloves when i mud ride.
Typical boy! My boys love to do this. That's why we keep massive mud-puddles! LOL
